InTuition carry out PAT Testing Courses at venues nationwide or we can train staff at your premises. Our PAT Testing Course enables candidates to become competent PAT Testers in just one day.

The course covers all legal requirements and includes over 3 hours of practical sessions. Candidates can inspect and PAT Test a wide variety of portable electrical appliances including domestic equipment, power tools, office and IT equipment, and IEC leads, using many different models of PAT Tester, or they can bring their own tester. A certificate is issued to successful candidates.

InTuition only accept up to 8 candidates on each course, which enables us to give attention to individuals. We also provide a  PAT Tester for every candidate to use, unlike other courses where 2 or 3 may share a machine. Our courses also run for a full day, to give you as much practise as you need - unlike some of our competitors who advertise a full day, then finish just after lunch.

Due to popular demand, we have also introduced a new range of Portable Appliance Testing Software Training Courses. Click here or on the Software Courses button for more details.

Why PAT Test?
PAT Testing or Portable Appliance Testing is the testing of electrical appliances to ensure they are safe to operate. Health and Safety regulations state that when people work with electrical appliances, the appliance must be safe.

Why attend our PAT Testing Course?
Being able to carry out PAT Testing for yourself can save your organisation time and money. You can also avoid disruption to your business by PAT Testing at a time that's convenient to you. An InTuition PAT Testing Course will allow you to become a PAT Tester in just one day. You can save money, or even set up your own PAT Testing business. You could earn the cost of the course back in your first day's testing! All of our Instructors are experienced trainers and hold City & Guilds Qualifications. All are CRB checked as they are often required to work in schools, retirement homes etc.

What do I need?
Our one-day PAT Testing courses are designed to give you all the skills you need to become a fully competent PAT Testing technician. After attending the InTuition PAT Testing course, successful candidates will receive a certificate of competence along with all the knowledge needed to confidently begin PAT Testing for real.

No previous knowledge of PAT Testing is required as the training courses are fully comprehensive. They cover everything from electrical principles, classification of equipment, relevant legislation, and how to carry out all types of tests using various PAT equipment. The PAT Testing courses are suitable for beginners, with only a basic electrical knowledge, or as a refresher for those already working in the PAT Testing field.

We provide a wide range of PAT Testing Equipment for delegates to use during the PAT Testing course. Delegates are also welcome to bring their own.

Unlike some other courses, that teach only lots of theory, at
InTuition we concentrate on giving our candidates a wide range of practical experience.
